Someplace Safe

Someplace Safe operates a Community Advocacy Program in Traverse County.

Locations are staffed by local advocates and volunteers trained to offer assistance to victims, survivors, family and friends who have been affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, or general crimes. All advocacy services provided by Someplace Safe are free and confidential.

Someplace Safe serves Victims of Crime Including Victims and Survivors of: Domestic Violence; Sexual Assault; and General Crimes. They provide family services through our Parenting Time Centers.

Also available are awareness opportunities for the public and community, and thrift stores for shopping and donations. Systems professionals & partners are available to offer Training and Educational opportunities to help ensure victim-centered responses to crime.

The City of Browns Valley is responsible for the drinking water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater systems within the city.

Annually the Minnesota Department of Health publishes a consumer confidence report for drinking water within the City of Browns Valley.

Our Consumer Confidence Report can be downloaded using the link below. We have also provided a link to download the application for city services.

Sanitary Sewer

As a resident, you play an important role in keeping the City’s main sewer line and your own private sewer line clean and clear of blockages. Do not use paper or wipes that are not specified for sewer usage.

Parks and Recreation

Browns Valley City Park is located on Hwy 28 West of town. The park has picnic grounds, bathrooms, and campsites with water and electrical hookups.

Camp sites: (self-pay)

  • $35.00 with Sewer/Water/Electricity
  • $25.00 With Water/Electricity
  • $10.00 With NO Services
  • $5.00 Dump fee

COMPLIANCE WILL BE ENFORCED

Park Shelter Reservations

We have two shelters available.

  • 1 – gazebo style, and
  • 1 – covered but not enclosed
  • $25.00 With Water/Electricity

They are available on a first-come basis. Please call the city office at 320.695.2110 to make your reservation.
